It's all about mindset

Have you ever thought why some countries are better than the other countries in every aspect? For example, why Switzerland is better than Syria? Why Switzerland is a peaceful country and why Syria is always suffering from numerous conflicts? Why western countries are more progressive than the eastern countries? What’s the reason behind so much difference?

                                                                              Switzerland

                                                                 Syria

The reason is only one- MINDSET.

The countries like Switzerland have people with the progressive/broad mindset who always strive for growth and advancement whereas countries like Syria have people with the narrow mindset who have declared civil wars which led more than 2,50,000 people dead. The World-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck, in her book,” Mindset: The New Psychology of Success”, has written that there are 2 types of mindsets in the world, the growth mindset and the fixed mindset. The growth mindset strives for learning, advancement and positivity whereas the fixed mindset has no zeal for learning and it’s full of negativity.A person with a growth mindset has a compassionate behaviour. He/she would always make his/her way out of failures and bad times. But that’s not at all the case with the person with a fixed mindset.6 years ago, on 11th of March, Japan was struck with the disastrous tsunami and a 9.1 magnitude earthquake which caused 15,894 deaths, 6,152 people were injured and 2,562 people went missing. That was the worst natural disaster in the history of Japan. Early estimates placed insured losses from the earthquake alone at US$14.5 to $34.6 billion. But all this didn’t shake the Japanese people’s determination. They worked hard and within a year of the mega-disaster, they rebuilt their damaged possessions. In the images below, the upper/left side image was taken on March  2011 and the bottom/right was taken on January 2012.

Myths About Introverts

In today's time, introversion is quite a debatable topic. In this extrovert dominated world, introverts are often misunderstood, misjudged and underestimated.
The exact definition of introversion is - "Introversion is one of the major personality traits identified in many theories of personality. People who are introverted tend to be inward turning, or focused more on internal thoughts, feelings and moods rather than seeking out external stimulation.” According to the definition, it is clear that introversion is a normal personality trait just like extroversion. But extrovert people do not bother to comprehend the real meaning of introversion. Instead they start misjudging their introvert counterparts. This is the main reason behind the various myths about introverts and introversion.
Following are the 10 most common myths about introverts.
  • I. Introverts hate talking

This is absolutely wrong. Introverts talk only when it is necessary or when they have some valuable views to share. They hate small talk. Introverts won’t stop talking for days if they were to talk about something of their interest.

  • 2.      Introverts hate

Exploring Manali

Places to visit in Kullu Manali

Places to visit in Kullu Manali

Located in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh in the Kullu valley, Manali is one of the major destinations of the state which attracts an extremely large number of tourists every year.  Manali is a home to the amazingly beautiful snow capped mountains, various monasteries and temples. There are many places to visit in Kullu Manali. Each of these places hs their own significance. So, it would be unfair to compare each of them with one another.

Manali is a perfect place for the people who wish to experience snowfall and for those who want to rejuvenate in the lap of nature. For adventure seekers, Manali provides diverse options like trekking, paragliding, skiing, zorbing, white water rafting etc.

My week long trip to Manali was an amazing experience. From source to destination, the journey was hurdle free. The roads leading to Manali are well constructed and wide enough to support the two-way traffic. While travelling, the scenery of the snow capped mountains visible from my car, was extremely mesmerising.

FAMOUS PLACES TO  VISIT IN KULLU MANALI:

Solang Valley(Adventure/Trekking & Nature)

Place to visit in Manali

Solang valley is a side valley, located at the top of the Kullu valley, is 14 km north-west of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass. Solang valley is mainly known for its summer and winter sports adventures. The sports offered are paragliding, parachuting, skiing, zorbing, horse riding and skating. Skiing can be done only during the winter season whereas zorbing(a giant ball with room for 2 people which is rolled down a 200-metre hill) is available mainly after May when the snow melts.Wonderful views and various sports adventures make Solang valley an ideal tourist attraction. These are one of the few places to visit in Kullu Manali where tourists can experience various adventures in the lap of nature.

 Rohtang Pass(Adventure/Trekking)

Places to visit in Manali

Rohtang Pass is a high mountain pass located on the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas around at a distance of 51 km from Manali. It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh, India. On the southern side of the pass, the Beas river emerges from underground and flows southward and on its northern side, the Chandra River (flows from the eastern Himalayas), a source stream of the river Chenab, flows westward. The roads from Manali to Rohtang Pass are quite dangerous so the vehicles are susceptible to accidents. These are one of the best places to visit in Kullu Manali. The roads leading to Rohtang Pass have sharp and curvy U-turns which makes them dangerous. Another problem one can face while travelling to Rohtang Pass is the huge traffic. During my trip, I was stuck in traffic for 3-4 hours which wasted a huge chunk of my time. But that happened during my return journey from Rohtang Pass. A day before my visit to Rohtang, I met a local guide in Manali, who advised me to leave Manali for Rohtang early in the morning. As I was already aware of the traffic problem so I left Manali, the next day, at sharp 5 AM and reached Rohtang Pass at 7 AM without facing any problem. If you are planning a trip to the Rohtang Pass then do keep the above-mentioned pointers in your mind otherwise be ready to face the problems. On reaching the Rohtang Pass, one can literally feel to be at the top of the world.Snow scooter ride is quite popular in Rohtang Pass. There are many tea stalls available for tourists at Rohtang Pass.Tea sellers travel 40-50 Km. daily to Rohtang to sell the tea.

 Hadimba Temple  (Nature & Pilgrimage)

Sightseeing in Manali
Built in 1553, the Hadimba temple is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hadimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in Indian epic Mahabharata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest at the foot of the Himalayas. Hadimba temple has a 24 m high tower and three tiers of its square roof  is covered with timber tiles. The unadorned walls are covered with the stonework whereas the doorway is decorated with the miniature depictions of goddesses, animals and stylised foliation. These are one of the few places to visit in Kullu Manali where tourists can experience the beauty of nature. Outside the temple, there are many yaks available for the ride. Then there are many rabbit festers who charge around 10 rupees from tourists for holding the fluffy rabbits. After the snowfall, Hadimba temple looks much more beautiful. Hadimba temple is located at about 2-3 km from the Manali mall road. The roads leading to Hadimba are uphill so most of the people prefer to go there by foot. Driving the vehicles at such a great slope becomes quite difficult.

Van Vihar Park (Adventure)

Mind your judgment!!

The world is moving at a very fast pace.Every person in this world is struggling for one or the other thing. Some people are striving hard for the money. Some people are striving hard for food. Some people have got enough but still, they are not satisfied and they strive hard for more. Every person has a different story, a different life.Time is one such thing which every person lacks amidst of so much struggle. No person has time for the other person. There is so much scarcity of time. Isn’t it?
But there is one such activity for which every person has the potential to take out time from his/her schedule, no matter how much busy the person is.And that activity is- Judging others!!!
The following line fits well for most of the people today….
“Amateur analysers and connoisseur judges”
It is really very surprising and shocking at the same time to find that most of the people today have enough time to judge others but don’t have time to analyse others’ situations.
A teacher scolding and beating a student for scoring low marks in an exam without finding out the reason behind it is one such example of judging without analysing. The time spent( or rather wasted) by the teacher on scolding and beating the student would have been utilised better on analysing the student’s situation and guiding him/her.It is a normal practice in most of the schools. In most of the schools and colleges, teachers and professors give more importance to the top performers whereas other students are considered as dumb and poor. Even while handling the big responsibilities, teachers always prefer the bright students to the not so bright ones.
It is shocking to learn that how a student is judged based on his/her marks and is tagged as “bright” or “dull”. I have seen many people who were not able to fare well in their studies due to some problems and were tagged as “dull” by the so-called teachers.But later on in their lives, those “dull” students were much more successful than those “bright” students.
Looking at a fat person and passing the judgement like, “He eats a lot. He doesn’t have control on his hunger and blah blah blah….” and making fun of him is a very common thing because most of the people do it.But analysing that fat persons’ situation is what no one bothers to do. Might he be suffering from a serious disease which is having a negative impact on his body weight but who cares to understand.
Any kind of harsh judgement would always cause a negative impact. Some people have the mental strength to deal with the negative judgments but some don’t have it.There had been many such cases which resulted in the death of the person just because nobody understood him and cared to guide him and leading him to commit suicide.
It feels very painful when you work really hard for your goal but fail to achieve it and you are ultimately judged by some random people who would leave no stone unturned to lower your worth.
There is only one piece of advice for my fellow misjudged and hardworking people- Do not give a damn about those a**holes who misjudge you.Just keep doing your work.
My one piece of advice for those who are in the habit of judging others- Keep your bullshit judgement in your a**.Just focus on your shitty life.
                                   And just mind your judgement!!!

The roots of gender inequality

From the times immemorial, one perception has governed this world – Men are stronger than women.
Why is it so?
Who made this perception?
Why only women have to suffer?
Well, the list of these type of questions is never going to end.
Gender inequality is one of the biggest problems which has been troubling nearly half of the population of this world since ages.Every problem always has a certain cause. To prevent a problem from spreading further, it should be nipped in the bud. But gender inequality was not nipped in the bud when it started so it went on spreading like fire, a fire which destroyed many innocent lives in the past and would continue to destroy more in the future if no stringent actions are taken.
Nature has created man and woman because it knows that both of them are equally important for the world and for each other.Nature’s every creation is a beautiful art. If only men were enough for this world to survive then nature would have never created women.Nature has created man and woman differently. There are many physical and biological differences between a man and a woman but nature never said that a man is much stronger than a woman. It is us, the humans, who have created this perception. If women were really very weak then no woman would have ever survived after giving birth to a child.Well, that’s the most painful job which not only requires physical strength but mental strength too.Just having more height and more muscular body than women, does not make men much stronger than women.
Going back to the old times, the practice of educating boys but not girls was common.Boys were sent to the school, they were given better food to eat, they were given full freedom to live their lives on the other hand girls were forced to stay at homes, they were forced to do household chores, they were given lesser food than what their brothers used to get( or in worst cases, they were forced to eat the leftover food of the family). The girl’s life was completely manipulated by her family members.
But who was responsible for this inhuman behaviour.
A man?
No.
Not only a man but a woman too. In fact, a woman is much more responsible than a man because she did not do anything to safeguard her rights, her freedom. She silently adhered to the policies made by men. When such restrictions were imposed by the men on the women, women had two options in front of them, one was to protest against this injustice and the other one was to silently bear this pain. But unfortunately, they chose to do the latter one.
A self-proclaimed stronger person ‘X’ will never leave an opportunity to degrade and crush the other person’Y’, whom he thinks to be weaker than him. But it is up to ‘Y’ whether he gets crushed or fights back. This situation in analogous to the gender inequality problem, where ‘X’ is a man and ‘Y’ is a woman.
In India, the crime of female infanticide is a common one.Going deep into this matter, it is shocking to find that the women are equally responsible for this crime. In all these cases, mother-in-laws force their daughter-in-laws to kill the unborn girl child. It is shocking to learn that one woman wants another woman to give birth to a male child just because she thinks that males are better than females (What a complicated shit!!!).And if a female child is born instead of a male child then the mother-in-law leaves no stone unturned to torture her daughter-in-law.
I really don’t understand why Indian families are so much obsessed with the male child.Considering the fact that 99.9% of terrorists are males, 98% of robbers/dacoit/thieves are males, 100% of rapists are males then why the hell people still want a male child. It seems like Jungle-Raaj, where a lion is always considered as the king of the forest in spite of the fact that it kills so many innocent animals.
If a woman herself does not cares for her own gender then how can one expect a man to respect a woman?
In all dowry cases, again, mother-in-laws are the driving forces, where they along with their sons and husbands torture their daughter-in-laws for dowry.
The above two cases are the finest examples of – one woman is an enemy of another woman(“Aurat hi aurat ki dushman”).
Another problem which is corrupting the minds of people is female objectification which is more profound in entertainment and film industry. The filthy item songs in the movies had always been the topics of debate among common folks, especially the ones who run the women empowerment organisations. If these people find something offensive in the songs, they immediately lodge complaints against the movie makers.A single song can lead to so much trouble and distress.Going deep into this matter, it can be found that a woman(the item girl!)herself is responsible for all this ruckus. If on the first place, she would have thought of how badly can her this move impact the other women, all this had never happened. It is sad to learn that just for money, some women go to such an extent that they feel no shame in getting naked in front of the cameras.Men make rules and women blindfoldedly follow them.
But all this never means that men are innocent. If women are instructed to remain in their limits then those instructions stand true for men as well.Crossing the limits is not an acceptable thing whether be it for men or women.
To maintain peaceful relations and to live peacefully in this world, it is mandatory for both the genders to understand each other and respect each other.
But one day the world would be a peaceful place to live is a myth!!!
